ADVANCE AT TROT              UNIT MOVES FORWARD AT TROT (TWICE SPEED OF WALK)
Be wary of over using this for manouvering, it will tire most of your troops quickly.
.
CHARGE                                    UNIT MOVES FORWARD AT TWICE SPEED OF TROT
Slowest people should be in front ranks, always maintain unit cohesion, should only be
used over the last 5 - 10 metres tops.

This fun but be wary of crashing into other units, use your front rank as blockers and your
second rank to do the killing while the enemy is disorganised or being pushed back. A lot
if not most of the damage can be done by follow up units in the wake of charge if they are
close enough to take advantage of the enemies disorder.
.
RETIRE                                        UNIT RETIRES IN GOOD ORDER FACING ENEMY
.                                                     This involve the entire line moving backwards at a walk, second rank to watch and
                                                      advise as to ground.

With large forces every second unit may move backward and stand while rest of unit
moves through them in a leap frog manouvere.

Rear guards are effective but usually doomed, consider using your fleetest unit so they can
bug out fast if required, assuming they are not annihilated : )

A strong force/ archers on a flank in a threatening position will usually slow down the
advance of enemy units, allowing you to retire to a better position..
.

ASSUALT. IF YOU POSITION SHIELDS AT FRONT AND REAR AS WELL IT
